What the socks looked like when Dreamers & Schemers first began sublimating socks (in the founder's basement)! We created Dreamers & Schemers Socks to allow equestrians to show their personality without breaking the tradition. Just bending it, a little.
We hadn't invented that yet...
We got dreaming, and then scheming... What do we want from our riding socks? If we're bending tradition with our boot socks, then we definitely don't want them to show in the ring. Boots slip down all the time! We should make a stunt double...
COFFEE AND CONSTRUCTION
By 2017 we were scheming over long coffee talks about how we could change the construction of riding boot socks, and keep the patterns flowing! We came up with 2 important construction changes:
STUNT DOUBLES
We decided to make the top cuff of the sock black in case your boot slips down in the show ring. Instant stunt double for boots that have stretched out.
CREASE MONSTER - BE GONE!
Create a terry foot bottom that wraps up the back of the heel and a flat seam toe. Flat seam toes were hard to make, but OH SO WORTH IT. This construction change solved a ton of sock problems! We created comfortable place for your toes in tight boots, a soft bottom that wicks sweat, and extra padding for all those heels down moments!
BUT WAIT... WE HAD TO STOP THE DRYER TROLL!
After the success of our equestrian-focused sock construction, we set out on another quest. A BATTLE.
BRING IN THE SPARE
Dryer Trolls favorite delicacy are socks. And what are our customers to do when our socks are constructed to last? Well, that is when we decided to add a single spare sock to every pair. This way, you can sacrifice to the dryer troll, or collect them to make silly pairs!
